Luca Gaurico: Fortune – Teller Par Excellence

Luca Gaurico was considered as one of the most renowned and dependable fortune-tellers in his times. He possessed a natural gift for forecasting and had no parallel in making astrological calculations. He was a contemporary of the famous fortune-teller Nostradamus. He had a very shy nature and usually kept to himself. He made many prophesies out of which some forty proved to be absolutely correct. The rest remain to be verified in the times to come. Saint Luca Gaurico had just come out after a bath. He was looking down from an oriel of his residence that a ball fell into his garden. A little latter, a young boy entered the garden to pick up the ball. He picked up the ball and turned round to leave.

The saint gazed intently at the face of that boy. Suddenly he became agitated and ran towards the garden like an excited child. He was able to stop the boy before he could leave his garden. When the disciples of the saint saw this, they came running to place. They saw that the eyes of the saint were glowing. He then announced in a resounding voice, “Those who are seeing this boy should greet him respectfully. One day, this young lad shall be elected as Pope.” And in 1513, this boy named Giovanni de Medici was really crowned as Pope Leo X. The saint’s prediction had come to be true to the last letter. .

Gaurico possessed some natural gift in so far as predicting of future was concerned. Apart from it, he had no parallel in making astronomical calculations. Once, he had predicted that a Pope would die in November 1954, and it may surprise you that Pope Paul III died in that month and year.
